Perfect and fairly clean hotel, the staff who served us were nice, and it had favourable location in the city center. Location: the property was not far from the centre of touristy Lagos and the old town and nearby old churches❤

The location was on point, near the beach and all the dope shops and bars. The rooms were clean and spacious, with a chill fridge for cold beverages. The WiFi and air conditioning were on fleek. The hotel staff were hella friendly and made us feel at home. Plus, there was a lift - no need to tire ourselves out climbing stairs. it was a rad place to stay, and we had a blast exploring Lagos and hitting up the sick beaches!
The only thing we would've loved is a sick rooftop party area where we could chill and have our own lit turn-up. It would've been straight fire to have a spot to vibe with our crew and enjoy the night.

The staff here were super friendly and helpful, always ready to lend a hand 👍. the location of this place is primo, right in the heart of the old town. Plus, you're just a stone's throw away from both the main center and the beach center, making it super convenient for exploring and beach days.

The hotel had a lovely vintage charm with beautiful decorations and cozy seating areas in the common spaces. It felt so inviting and comfortable, especially for seniors like myself. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my cane. I appreciated the attention to detail in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
I would have loved to have seen more organized activities specifically tailored for senior guests. It would have been nice to have options for gentle exercise or social gatherings, where we could connect with other guests our age.

The customer service was top-notch, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The room was modern and clean, and we loved having a private walk-in shower. The balcony was a great hangout spot with partial sea view, perfect for taking selfies and enjoying the warm breeze. The location was unbeatable - just a short stroll to the vibrant bars and restaurants, and a quick walk to the stunning local beach. It was definitely a great value for money and we couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot!
The only thing we wish was different is that the hotel didn't have a party area or organized activities for young party-goers like us. It would have been super fun if they had a rooftop bar or organized pub crawls for guests.

During my recent business trip to Lagos, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Cidade Velha, which was selected by my director. This hotel offers an array of features that made my stay enjoyable. First and foremost, guests can soak up the sun on the hotel's spacious and well-maintained outdoor terrace. The serene ambiance and comfortable seating options provided the perfect setting for relaxation and unwinding after a long day of meetings. The attentive staff also deserve praise, as they were always friendly and willing to assist with any inquiries or requests. , the hotel's central location allowed for easy access to nearby attractions and amenities.
Parking arrangements were not clearly communicated.

The location was super central, which made it so convenient for us to explore the vibrant nightlife in Lagos. We had a blast dancing the night away at the nearby bars and meeting fun new people. And let me tell you, the staff were so cool and friendly! They even gave us some local tips on where to find the best parties in town. We were living our best party life!
The only thing we wished for was a pool or a rooftop terrace with a bar at Hotel Cidade Velha. It would have been epic to hang out by the pool during the day, sipping cocktails and soaking up the sun before hitting the town at night.

During my recent business trip to Lagos, I stayed at Hotel Cidade Velha, which was chosen by my director. One of the highlights of my stay was the opportunity to soak up the sun. The hotel's location allowed guests to enjoy the warm Portuguese weather while lounging by the pool or on the nearby beach. It was a perfect way to unwind after a busy day of meetings and work.
My experience at Hotel Cidade Velha had a minor inconvenience.
